CQ fluency named to 2019 Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies for sixth consecutive year

hackensack, new jersey, september 3, 2019 –

Inc. magazine revealed that Hackensack NJ based CQ fluency made the annual Inc. 5000 list for the sixth consecutive year. The most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies is also a pulse on the impact of entrepreneurship on the US economy.

CQ fluency, a minority and woman-owned translation company, improved their ranking on the list by 344 spots. Their growth in revenue, global reach, investment in R&D and impressive job growth in 2018/19 contributed to their advancement on the list. Since their founding in 2000, and given the nature of their work, employing a diverse work force and diverse supplier pool is a business imperative – and CQ fluency’s growth equates to a better economic impact. The increased need for multicultural communications both domestically and internationally and CQ fluency’s focus on technology and innovation were big drivers of the fast growth. Despite increased media attention around trade friction, CQ fluency is experiencing continued growth in localization globally, including China.

“Being an immigrant from Latin America, I always believed that persistence and very hard work is what you need to be successful. Both of those attributes contributed to CQ fluency’s success but a huge part of being able to realize the American Dream I owe to the diversity and inclusion professionals who work tirelessly to create opportunities for diverse businesses like mine” said Elisabete Miranda, President & CEO of CQ fluency. “I feel blessed and full of gratitude to this country, to my very diverse team and to our clients who all empower us to contribute to the strength of the economy. I am so proud of the people-centric organizational culture we have, and we are excited to continue to scale to new heights.”

The companies on the 2019 Inc. 5000 list are featured in the September issue of Inc. The complete list shows staggering growth compared with prior lists. The 2019 Inc. 5000 achieved an astounding three-year average growth of 454 percent, and a median rate of 157 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue was $237.7 billion in 2018, accounting for 1,216,308 jobs over the past three years. CQ fluency joins the ranks of many other well-known companies that have been featured on the Inc. 5000 list over the years, i.e. Microsoft, LinkedIn, Dell, Pandora, Yelp, and Zillow.

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” says Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”
