The importance of culturally accurate translation
In today’s hyper-connected world, cross-cultural communication has become an essential business skill.
Through expansion overseas and demographic shifts at home, most companies now speak to diverse audiences in multiple languages on a daily basis. To do this effectively, you need more than simple translation. You need to fine-tune your message carefully to fit the cultural nuances of your target audience.
We are all too familiar with the phrase “lost in translation.” At CQ fluency we work with 5,000+ certified in-country linguists who have deep knowledge of their native cultures, and many of whom are subject matter experts in various fields, to ensure your documents are translated accurately and effectively to avoid any gap in communication.

ISO Certifications
Proven commitment to quality through our ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 certified translation process is the foundation for our workflows, but our customized innovations address your specific pain-points.
Language & quality assurance
Our dedicated Language Quality Assurance (LQA) team ensures linguistic integrity with full support throughout the localization lifecycle. This includes analyzing customer specifications, creating glossaries, managing terminology, preparing style guides, managing query databases, handling escalation management, scoring linguistic and downstream projects, and fostering continuous improvement.
We leverage a robust audit program that encompasses annual internal audits, annual registrar audits, regular audits, quarterly KPI and quality objective reviews, and analysis of customer feedback.
Our linguists
Our linguists must meet stringent qualification requirements before beginning work on your project. We require:
- a minimum of five years of proven experience as a translator
- a bachelor’s degree or higher
- competency in computer and CAT tools
- verified accreditation/certification
- verified industry references
- successful completion of a translation test
To maintain high standards and efficiency, we provide formal feedback through our internal QA process. This feedback is tracked and shared with linguists to ensure their skill set is up to date.
All project managers work closely with the vendor management team to provide feedback and address any issues that may arise.
In tandem with our linguists and evolving translation needs, we consistently develop new training materials for our internal and external teams, including training in specific CAT tools and process updates.
Monitoring and reporting
Our proprietary CQ portal technology centralizes your translation project and provides 24/7 access to monitor the progress of your request. This gives continuous insight into version management, change implementation, billing, and final review.
When it comes to in-country review, we have developed a unique toolkit that provides easy access to our web-based portal as well as step-by-step instructions for reviewers.
