With over 25 years of experience in working with large, complex multinationals, Joe excels in collaborating with his clients on global language strategy and tactical execution. With extensive experience in solutions architecture, translation operations, marketing and consulting Joe achieves a deep understanding of his clients’ goals for foreign language content. In the Life Sciences Industry, the task of translation (regardless of source language) has numerous domains which must be well understood by the Language Services Provider (LSP). The content must be accurate (quality is king!) and must resonate, or in certain cases persuade the user of that content. For scientific requirements, Joe sets up CQ’s language services to insure adherence to global, regional and local requirements. Delivery SLAs are strictly enforced to insure time to market and are powered by state-of-the-art technology to reduce human touch points. Joe provides this leadership to his clients, working with a host of language industry professionals to bridge the clients’ need with CQ fluency services.
Joe began his long-term career with Berlitz International as a school director, having earned a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from Boston University, continuing his studies in Spain with New York University in Madrid. He eventually moved to the translation side of the business, recognizing the need and market demand. In his professional travels he has a acquired a deep sensitivity to–and doing business with– many countries including Japan, China, Latin America, Western Europe and Eastern Europe.
Originally from New York City (The Bronx!) Joe now lives on a vineyard in Central Coast California selling Cabernet to local winemakers. When not “at the office” he enjoys tending to the grapes, woodworking and refurbishing antique furniture.
